Wisconsin Public Utility Institute to host 2005 Telecom Forum

Robert Pepper, senior managing director of global advanced technology at Cisco Systems, has been invited to be the keynote speaker at the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute’s 2005 Telecom Forum.

The theme of the conference, which will take place Sept. 12-13, is “The New IP World of Services.” It will be held at the UW-Madison
Fluno Center for Executive Education.

The forum will offer an in-depth look at how Voice over Internet Protocol technology is changing the world of telecommunications. It will be an opportunity to both hear what leaders in the industry are thinking about the changes and to engage them in a discussion about how these trends and technologies are shaping the industry.

The Tuesday morning panel will focus on how VoIP technology is impacting the issues of Intercarrier Compensation and Universal Service.

The forum at the University of Wisconsin’s Fluno Center for Executive Education begins on the afternoon of September 12 and concludes with lunch on Tuesday, September 13th. It includes a reception on Monday evening from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
