Wisconsin Innovation Network luncheon, Madison

MADISON – Alan R. Fish, the associate vice chancellor for Facilities Planning and Management at the UW-Madison, will discuss plans for the Institute for Discovery and other science-based campus additions at the Tuesday, May 24, meeting of the Wisconsin Innovation Network-Madison chapter.

The $375-million Institute for Discovery, to be built on the UW-Madison campus with half public money and half private gifts, will weave together engineers, chemists, biologists, medical researchers, computer scientists and others into a world-class, interdisciplinary facility.

Fish is charged with overseeing planning for the physical future of the UW-Madison campus, an undertaking that may cover nearly $1 billion in construction over the next 10 years. He is a former state of Wisconsin budget director and has held other high-ranking posts at the UW-Madison.
