Quarles and Brady: Sponsors Ha Ha Clinton Dix "Ha Ha's HERO Headquarters" program
GREEN BAY PACKER HA HA CLINTON-DIX LAUNCHES HA HA’S HERO HEADQUARTERS PROGRAM
MILWAUKEE, WI – (JANUARY 9, 2017) – Kids at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Milwaukee now have a new and fun place to read and learn thanks to Green Bay Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Clinton-Dix celebrated the opening of Ha Ha’s HERO Headquarters, a community outreach program of Ha Ha’s HERO Foundation, Tuesday morning with kids from Benjamin Franklin Elementary School.
Sponsored by Quarles & Brady, Ha Ha’s HERO Headquarters transformed a space at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School into a reading oasis. Designed with a Green Bay Packers theme and images of Ha Ha playing football placed on the walls, Ha Ha’s HERO Headquarters includes 600 age appropriate books and a comfortable space to read filled with fun beanbags, carpets and chairs all in the hope to inspire kids to grow in their learning, education and reading. Quarles & Brady also gifted every student with a nylon drawstring backpack stuffed with books.
Benjamin Franklin Elementary is a pre-kindergarten to 8th grade school with approximately 350 students. Many students at Franklin struggle with reading. Furthermore, many of the families at the school don’t have the resources to provide their children with their own books at home. Rooted in the mission of his foundation to be a hero to kids through education and also a personal mission, Ha Ha is a living witness to the importance of education as he is currently finishing his Criminal Justice degree at the University of Alabama, which is why implementing community outreach programs with an education theme is important for him.
“It was a great day as my HERO Foundation launched its first Ha Ha’s HERO Headquarters. The importance of education is something that I am passionate about so I hope students at Benjamin Franklin Elementary can utilize the HERO Headquarters so they can grow in their reading, learning and education,” says Green Bay Packers safety, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
Ha Ha’s HERO Headquarters at the school will bring to life an area with high interest books, where children can experience the joy of reading in a space designed for them. Knowing that the students will have a safe and comfortable place where they can find books of their interest will remove some of that burden from the families.
The launch of Ha Ha’s HERO Headquarters marks the first community outreach program of Ha Ha’s HERO Foundation. Ha Ha celebrated the official launch of his foundation in October 2017 as he hosted Ha Ha’s HERO Celebrity Night at Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center and raised over $130,000 for his foundation.
Ha Ha’s HERO Foundation plans to open two more Ha Ha’s HERO Headquarters this year.
