RedPrairie Corp.: Fully integrates Fleet and Parcel capabilities with Global Transportation Management solution

Added functionality includes optimized local routing and scheduling, asset and driver management, and expanded support for shippers and third-party logistics providers

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – RedPrairie Corporation, a consumer-driven optimization company, has enhanced its 2009 Transportation Management suite by fully integrating its Fleet, Parcel, and Collaboration Portal solutions with its core Transportation Management solution. The system’s functionality includes optimized local routing and scheduling, asset and driver management, and expanded support for in-house transport operations and third-party logistics providers.

“The enhancements we’ve made to our Transportation Management suite result in a unique and broad footprint for the product,” says RedPrairie VP Product Strategy, Tom Kozenski. “In the past, organizations had to rely on a variety of different products to carry out every aspect of their transportation management operations. This release now offers our customers an integrated solution that supports all modes of transportation, from ocean to air to rail, along with third party road carriers, private fleet, and parcel carriers. The product’s functionality spans all transportation operations, and includes GPS tracking, driver communication, advanced planning and scheduling for both fleet and contract carrier moves, certified parcel support for multiple carriers, and collaborative execution with customers, vendors and carriers.”

Additionally, the RedPrairie Fleet and Parcel solutions provide customizable user profiles and windows, embedded reports, and electronic manifesting. The solution also supports several new parcel carriers, as well as high-volume transactional processing for large clients.
