Acuity Insurance: Acuity’s annual Neonatal Run/Walk raises over $18,000 for Advocate Aurora Sheboygan County NICU

On July 18, Acuity hosted its annual Neonatal Run/Walk in support of Aurora Health Care of SheboyganCounty. The event brought together employees, families, and community members to raise over $18,000 for programs and services that support neonatal care and local families.

“Thanks to Acuity’s generous support, our NICU will add the GEM 7000 for rapid bedside testing and AngelEye cameras to help families stay connected with their babies. Together, these investments advance our mission of delivering exceptional, compassionate care for every patient and family” said Advocate Aurora Health Manager of Labor, NICU, & Lactation Kevyn Gumieny, BSN, RN.

“The Neonatal Run/Walk reflects the power of a community coming together to support local families,”
said Alissa Burgos, General Manager Small Commercial, and member of the Acuity Charitable Committee. “We’re proud to continue our support of Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan County’s Neonatal Services and thankful to everyone who participated. Their generosity will help provide important resources that enhance care and strengthen outcomes for families throughout our community.”

Supporting the Community Year-Round

The annual Neonatal Run/Walk is Acuity’s largest fundraising event and reflects the company’s commitment to giving back through both financial support and hands-on service. That same spirit of service continues throughout the year.

This summer, employees assembled more than 300 “Beat the Heat” kits for the Sheboygan County Warming Center and 300 meal kits for the Sheboygan County Food Bank.

This September, every Acuity employee will receive up to four hours of paid volunteer time to give back. During that event Acuity will host and coordinate over 500 volunteer opportunities at their headquarters benefiting Sheboygan County nonprofit organizations.

“At Acuity, caring for people doesn’t stop at our policyholders or agents,” said Burgos. “It’s a value that shapes how we show up for our communities as well. Our employees consistently step up to support local organizations, and we’re proud of the difference they make when they come together around a shared purpose.”
