UW-Platteville: Set to host free AI clinic for business owners, students, entrepreneurs

As artificial intelligence continues to dominate the headlines, UW-Platteville will host a free clinic later this month to help small businesses, students, entrepreneurs and the general public understand and apply the technology.

The clinic is set for Oct. 16 in Ullsvik Hall’s Velzy Commons.The day-long agenda includes AI demonstrations; one-on-one consultations with business, marketing and legal experts; sessions for students; plain-language explanations of what AI can do; hands-on workshops; chances to network with local, regional and statewide business support organizations; and an optional tour of the Platteville Business Incubator, a 26,000-square-foot small business support center serving the tri-state region with office and industrial space, business coaching and business startup loans. Participants will leave with practical tools and strategies they can implement immediately. 

Registrants can choose to attend as many sessions as they like and will be free to come and go. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.

The clinic is sponsored by UW-Platteville, the Universities of Wisconsin’s Office of Business and Entrepreneurship, the Small Business AI Center and the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center Network.
