(WAUKESHA, Wis.) – Waukesha County Parks is welcoming the summer season with a full slate of programs for nature lovers of all ages. From hands-on art programs to wildlife surveys and outdoor adventures, there’s something for everyone to explore, learn and enjoy.

Participants can unleash creativity at Art in Nature, where children can craft, sketch and paint using natural materials and inspiration from the outdoors. Families can discover nocturnal wildlife during Bats & Brews, a casual evening program combining bat education with beer garden beverages for adults.

Nature enthusiasts can join the Community Science Program & Wildlife Surveys to help collect valuable data on local wildlife. Conservation-minded visitors can lend a hand during Habitat Restoration Workdays, assisting with invasive species removal.

For those seeking more in-depth training, the Master Naturalist Training and Showcase offers opportunities to learn advanced naturalist skills and share projects with the community. Scouts groups can participate in Merit Badge Workshops, covering topics from environmental science to ecology.

Outdoor learning continues with Outdoor Classroom, a guided, hands-on program for children exploring seasonal natural phenomena, and Wee Wonders, designed for the youngest adventurers to connect with nature through sensory and storytelling activities.

Programs are offered at multiple Waukesha County Park System locations throughout the summer. Costs, registration requirements and age recommendations vary by program. Registration and more information are available online at wauk.co/program.
