Reach Counseling: Reach Counseling honors 50 years of supporting survivors and working to prevent sexual violence in the Fox Valley

NEENAH, Wis. (Aug. 26, 2026) — Reach Counseling, a sexual assault service provider helping people impacted by sexual violence in Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago counties, is honoring 50 years of supporting healing and working to prevent sexual violence in the Fox Valley.

Founded in 1976, Reach Counseling provides counseling, victim advocacy, prevention education, culturally responsive outreach and sex offender treatment. The nonprofit is recognizing its 50th anniversary throughout the remainder of 2026, sharing stories from its history, recognizing people and partners who have supported its mission and inviting the community to take part in what comes next. All of this concludes at the end of the year with the Reach Counseling signature fundraising event, Utopia A World Without Sexual Violence on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center (map).

Marking 50 years of service is important as Reach Counseling recognizes the survivors, advocates, counselors, volunteers, donors and community partners who have shaped its first five decades while building support for the work that continues today.

“Reaching 50 years is about so much more than celebrating the longevity of an organization. It represents 50 years of people showing up for survivors and believing that healing is possible,” said Misty Pickett, CEO of Reach Counseling. “We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of that work, and we hope this anniversary gives our community a reason to come together around this important mission.”
