UW-Green Bay: Six decades strong: Bayshore Arts Center unveils its 60th anniversary season

Theatre, music and community take center stage in the 2026–27 lineup, from youth productions to late-night cult classics

Marinette, WI — Bayshore Arts Center, located on the UW-Green Bay Marinette Campus, announces their 2026-2027 Season, the 60th Season of theatre, music and arts in Marinette! The season highlights what makes this community theatre special: the Children’s Theatre and Theatre on the Bay productions, West Shore Chorale concerts, the 10thAnnual Christmas by the Bay and much more. The season runs August 1, 2026, through September 31, 2027.

“Our story has been shaped by performers, musicians, artists, volunteers, neighbors, donors, friends and audiences for six decades. It is an honor to present this 60th Season,” says Bayshore Arts Center Director, Lauryn Albaugh. “It is a privilege to exist in such a supportive community, and exciting to see our reach grow with each production and event.”

The 2026-2027 Season at Bayshore Arts Center delivers a theatrical lineup of modern and traditional titles, from Children’s Theatre’s production of SpongeBob the Musical: Youth Edition, to Theatre on the Bay’s production of The Importance of Being Earnest – which was produced in the very first season of theatre on the UW-Marinette Campus.

West Shore Chorale Director, Jane Wells, will lead the Chorale through two concerts again this season, one in the fall and one in the spring. The West Shore Chorale concerts remain free to the community.

To celebrate the 60th Season, Bayshore Arts Center is partnering with Radio Results Network for a milestone celebratory Dueling Pianos fundraising event. The event will run two shows, October 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and will be available for purchase online and at the doors. Sponsor tables for six people will also be available for purchase. Contact the Bayshore Arts Center to learn more.

In addition to community theatre and music, the 2026-2027 Season features a performance by Let Me Be Frank Productions and a late-night showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, both in October 2026.

The season ends in August 2027 with The 24 Hours Plays, a renowned theatrical institution where a creative community—including writers, directors, actors and stage managers—collaborate to produce brand-new plays, from the first pen stroke to the final performance, in just 24 hours. Established in 1995, this time-limited theater format forces artists to create quickly, responding immediately to the world around them while building community and producing high-energy performances.

“Bayshore Arts Center remains an institution that is both for and by the community,” says Albaugh.

Following are ticket prices for the season:

  • Children’s Theatre performances: Adult – $15 Child & Senior- $12.
  • Theatre on the Bay performances: Adult – $22 Child – $16 Senior- $18
