MADISON, WI — April 23, 2026 — The Urban League of Greater Madison announced today that Ron Busby, Sr. and David Pogue will serve as keynote speakers for the 2026 Excellence in Workforce & Economic Development Summit, taking place on May 6 at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in downtown Madison.
Ron Busby, Sr. currently serves as President and CEO of U.S. Black Chambers, Inc., the nation’s largest network of Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. A former successful business owner and nationally recognized CEO, Busby is a leading advocate for Black-owned businesses and economic equity. He has served on prominent corporate and public-sector boards, including the Pfizer Small Business Council, the SBA Council on Underserved Communities, and the White House African American Leadership Council. His corporate leadership experience includes senior roles at Exxon, Xerox, IBM, and Coca-Cola USA.
David Pogue is an Emmy Award–winning CBS correspondent, NOVA host, author, and New York Times columnist, and one of the nation’s most respected voices on technology, innovation, and the future of work. Known for making complex ideas accessible and actionable, Pogue brings unique insight at the intersection of technology, workplace culture, and human‑centered innovation—topics central to today’s rapidly evolving economy.
