GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Greater Green Bay Chamber is proud announce it has been selected as an official host site for this year’s Lieutenant Governor’s Small Business Academy, a statewide initiative led by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to empower entrepreneurs and strengthen small businesses.
Taking place May 5–8, 2026, the Small Business Academy offers a dynamic mix of virtual sessions and in-person programming across Wisconsin, delivering practical guidance on financing, marketing, legal considerations and growth strategies. The program is free to attend and designed to support both aspiring entrepreneurs and established business owners.
As a host site for the in-person event on May 8, the Urban Hub will serve as a gathering place for local innovators, business leaders and community partners to connect and learn together. Participants can expect expert-led roundtable sessions, peer networking, and access to valuable resources that help turn ideas into sustainable businesses.
“Growth is central to the mission of the Greater Green Bay Chamber, and we are committed to supporting local business owners and entrepreneurs,” said Shane Kanneberg, Director of Entrepreneurship and Startups. “We are honored to host the Lieutenant Governor’s Small Business Academy as a reflection of our work to help build a thriving, inclusive business community.”
