Farmers for Sustainable Food: Shares continued advancement in 2025 Progress Report

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Farmers for Sustainable Food today announced the release of its 2025 Progress Report, a yearly report highlighting the organization’s major accomplishments and milestones from the previous year.

Key milestones from the 2025 Progress Report include:

  • Welcoming a new Managing Director — FSF promoted Jamie Fisher to Managing Director after six years with the organization supporting farmer-led watershed groups. She will be expanding her leadership to provide oversight of FSF’s vision and sustainability initiatives.
  • Launching the EmPower+ program  In partnership with Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative, FSF launched a whole farm approach to lowering greenhouse gas emissions on dairy farms. The EmPower+ program bridges on-farm innovation with the environmental goals of the dairy value chain, aligning the interests of farmers, processors and food companies.
  • Growing our sustainability team  FSF continued to grow to support its expanding farmer-led group network by adding two farmer-led group collaborators. The organization also brought on Jennifer Block as the Director of Value Chain Partnerships and Jim Eckberg as the Director of Science and Innovation to advance EmPower+ program offerings.

“This past year, we supported 321 farmers across eight farmer-led groups and launched a new program with the vision of creating new opportunities to recognize and reward measurable environmental performance across the dairy value chain,” Jamie Fisher, FSF Managing Director, said. “Positioning farmers to be successful in a constantly evolving marketplace is our goal, and we look forward to continued collaboration with supply chain partners.”
