Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc.: Helping Navigate the Future for Religious Communities

(Appleton, Wis.) – Julie Heiberger of Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. will once again bring her expertise to the annual Resource Center for Religious Institutes (RCRI) National Conference. Heiberger, who serves at Hoffman’s women religious market leader, will be part of two presentations at the conference Oct. 4-7 in Dallas.

Heiberger will be joined by Sr. Nancy Conway, CSJ, who also serves as a facilitation and engagement specialist with Hoffman for a session titled Tips on Implementation Strategies to Move Your Congregation Forward

“Participative decision-making can be a challenge for many congregations, particularly on high-stakes issues that involve buildings or land use,” Heiberger said. “Our workshop explores six different ways to use unsolicited feedback to engage the congregation in the decision-making.”

Heiberger will also present with Sr. Sue Ernster, FSPA, for the session Navigating the Future of Community and Care Needs. This session will focus on the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration’s extensive planning effort to bring all of their sisters together through a consolidation of their assisted living and care needs via a renovation of their Motherhouse in La Crosse, Wis.

Hoffman has a long history of partnering with women religious congregations, having served more than 55 congregations in 28 states throughout the country in the past 25 years. Hoffman’s expertise in sustainable planning, design, construction, and renewable energy has helped congregations perpetuate their missions while having a positive impact on the environment.

This is the 12th time in the past 14 years that Hoffman has been invited to present at the RCRI National Conference.
