MILWAUKEE, WI (November 17, 2020) – ReStore, Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity’s resale store/donation center, will be moving their Walker’s Point ReStore (420 S 1st, Milwaukee) to a newer, larger location in Franklin in 2021. “ReStore Franklin” will be located in the former Gander Mountain building at 6939 S. Riverwood Blvd, just off of South 27th Street between College Ave. and Rawson Ave. ReStore Franklin is set to open in early 2021. Patrons will be able to shop and donate at ReStore Walker’s Point until December 17th, 2020.
The move to a larger location comes after tremendous support from the Milwaukee community, who’ve helped ReStore become Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity’s single largest fundraising source. Last year alone, Milwaukee County’s three ReStores sold more than $2.5 million worth of donated items to the public. The proceeds of which were used to build safe, affordable Habitat homes in our community.
The former Gander Mountain space will nearly triple the size of ReStore Walker’s Point.

ReStore Franklin will be located right next door to the Goodwill on Riverwood Blvd. ReStore specializes in reselling donated furniture, cabinetry, appliances and home improvement supplies to the public. They offer a free pickup service for large donations and even Deconstruction Services to salvage usable items from remodels and demolitions.
A grand opening celebration will be announced in early 2021. In the meantime, Milwaukee County’s three ReStores are open to the public at 3015 N 114th (ReStore Wauwatosa), 4150 S 108th (ReStore Greenfield), and 420 S 1st (ReStore Walker’s Point).
