Conference Targets Employers; February 18 in Wisconsin Dells

February 5, 2010, Madison — The Wisconsin Safety Council has partnered with the Midwest Food Processors Association to offer a conference for employers to gather and learn from industrial safety experts.

To ensure that employers can make positive change in employee behaviors, they must first develop and encourage a true safety culture. This conference will help employers improve safety performance and reduce the physical pain and financial loss related to injuries and incidents that also adversely affect morale and profitability.

The conference will be February 18 at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells. A professional development course titled Incident Investigation: A Root Cause Analysis will be offered on February 17. Conference topics include Development of a True Safety Culture, Instituting Safety in the Maintenance Department, an Update from OSHA, Harnessing the Power of Your Employees — The Value of Employee Engagement in your Safety Process, and a Review of Best Practices Presented by Ocean Spray Cranberries. Conference fees start at $150 for members of the sponsoring organizations.
