Task Force on Global Warming Meeting to Focus on Emissions Trading Policies

MADISON – On Tuesday, November 13th members of Governor Jim Doyle’s Task Force on Global Warming will meet in Madison to continue their efforts to address global warming.  The Task Force, comprised of a variety of environmental, industry and utility leaders as well as representatives from the DNR and PSC and other stakeholders, has undertaken Governor Doyle’s mission to examine the effects of and solutions to global warming in Wisconsin.  The November 13th meeting is a continuation of a series of meetings the Task Force is hosting and the public and media are encouraged to attend.


Discussions and presentations will primarily focus on emissions trading, possible policies for Wisconsin and what other states and countries are doing related to Cap-and-Trade.  Presenters include Franz Litz and John Larsen from the World Resources Institute, Bill Irving from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Jill Duggan from the European Union Emissions Trading Program.  Please join the Task Force meeting, which is scheduled for:
