MADISON, Wis. (May 21, 2004) — Madison based communication firm Planet Propaganda was recently selected by Stick Figure Productions to handle its rebranding efforts which will include the creation of a new logo and development of identity collateral. The New York City based film company chose Planet for its motion graphic expertise and extensive background branding creative organizations including the Wisconsin Film Festival, American Players Theatre and various musical artists such as Tracey Chapman (Electra) and jazz musician Ben Sidran (Go Jazz Records.)

“We [Stick Figure] chose Planet because they’re a like-minded group of people. Their work and how they represent themselves, was right on with how we want Stick Figure to be perceived. We’re excited and anxious to see the designs they come up with,” said Owen Levin, Chief Operating Officer of Stick Figure.

The focus of Stick Figure during its formative years has been on non-fiction films, some made independently and some for such networks as HBO, Showtime, Bravo, IFC, VH1, and PBS. The production company has recently begun to branch out to develop other types of films and programs that include narrative features, television movies, mini-series, documentary series, and several individual documentaries.
