MADISON, Wis. (October 16, 2025) – Alliant Energy announces the successful integration of its first 100- megawatt (MW) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Placed next to the company’s 200-MW solar project in Grant County, the newly operational battery captures and stores excess energy generated by solar and other resources, then releases the energy to the grid, as needed.
