MILWAUKEE – April 25, 2013 – The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. (WHD) is pleased to announce the addition of Anthony J. Anzelmo to its Litigation Practice Group and David W. Eckhardt to its Human Resources Law Practice Group.

Anzelmo’s experience includes personal injury, product liability, construction defect, and professional liability defense. He also has represented a variety of corporations and individuals in contractual disputes, focusing on insurance coverage and the duties of liability insurers. He has handled all phases of pre-trial, trial, alternative dispute resolution and appellate practice in both state and federal courts. Anzelmo received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School, and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Michigan.

Eckhardt has extensive experience in executive compensation issues in mergers and acquisitions, including the tax treatment of stock options, restricted stock, and restricted stock units, as well as the equity structure in newly formed entities, including partnerships and limited liability companies. He also has significant experience in assisting companies in structuring deferred compensation agreements and structuring transactions to avoid penalties in compliance with Internal Revenue Code Section 409A.

Eckhardt’s practice includes working with other employee benefit issues, such as qualified retirement plans and specifically ESOPs. He also has experience with ERISA, employment taxes, and fringe benefits, and has assisted clients in applying for private letter rulings with the Internal Revenue Service, as well as assisted in tax controversy cases. Eckhardt previously worked in the National Tax Department of a Big 4 accounting firm in Chicago. He earned his L.L.M., with honors, and his J.D., cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School, and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
