OAK CREEK, Wis. — August 25, 2026 — Veridian Homes celebrated the grand opening of Millwood Glen on Tuesday, August 25, marking the official opening of its newest neighborhood in Oak Creek. Veridian team members were joined by the Mayor of Oak Creek, Dan Bukiewicz; the City Administrator, Andrew Vickers; and other community representatives for a ceremonial groundbreaking and ribbon cutting at the neighborhood.
Located in Oak Creek, Millwood Glen will feature 44 homesites surrounded by woodlands, wetlands and permanent open space. More than half of the homesites — 28 of 44 — will back directly to protected open space or stormwater ponds, creating a neighborhood that offers a peaceful, natural setting while remaining close to everyday conveniences.
“Millwood Glen is an important addition to Veridian’s continued growth in the Milwaukee market,” said Chris Ehlers, President of Veridian Homes. “We’ve been intentional about finding opportunities where we can bring thoughtfully planned neighborhoods and quality new homes to communities where people want to live, and Oak Creek is a great example of that.”
Millwood Glen represents one of the first medium-to-large-scale residential neighborhoods to come to Oak Creek in more than five years and continues Veridian Homes’ investment in southern Milwaukee County.
“Millwood Glen really offers the best of both worlds,” said Matt Cudney, Vice President of Operations – Milwaukee for Veridian Homes. “Residents can come home to a quieter setting surrounded by woodlands and wetlands, while still being just minutes from schools, shopping, parks and easy interstate access. That balance is a big part of what makes this neighborhood special.”
“The City prioritizes diverse housing options to meet differing needs of new residents looking to call Oak Creek home. We are pleased to see the addition of traditional single family lot home options with the Milwood Glen subdivision. The Developers have taken great care to plan Millwood Glen thoughtfully, incorporating the natural elements and environment as amenities our future residents will really enjoy. It will be a beautiful neighborhood in a beautiful part of the Oak Creek community,” said Andrew Vickers, Oak Creek City Administrator.
Oak Creek’s combination of community amenities, parks, convenient interstate access and proximity to Lake Michigan made it an ideal location for the neighborhood. Millwood Glen is also located just minutes from a local elementary school, shopping, dining and other everyday destinations.
Preserving the character of the property was an important part of the neighborhood’s planning. Nearly half of the overall property will remain protected as wetlands and woodlands.
“We wanted Millwood Glen to feel like it belongs here,” said Cudney. “Preserving the natural features of the site was a priority from the beginning, and we hope homeowners feel that sense of serenity and connection to nature the moment they visit — and for years after they move in.”
Millwood Glen is designed for families and homeowners looking for more room to grow — whether that means being close to a local school, having more space at home or simply enjoying a quieter, more natural setting without sacrificing the convenience of everyday life.
Home pricing at Millwood Glen is expected to be released on September 24. To learn more about the neighborhood, available homes and home plans, visit veridianhomes.com/millwood-glen/.
