Tiffany campaign: Dairy Business Association endorses Tom Tiffany for Wisconsin governor

KEWAUNEE, WI – Today, the Dairy Business Association, Wisconsin’s leading dairy advocacy organization, announced its endorsement of Tom Tiffany for governor. The announcement was made at Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy, a DBA member farm in Kewaunee, Wisconsin.

“I know dairy farming isn’t easy because I lived it. It’s a 24/7 job that takes hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance every single day,” said Tom Tiffany. “Wisconsin dairy farmers shouldn’t have to fight their own government on top of everything else. As governor, I’ll cut unnecessary regulations, protect our farmland, and make sure the next generation has the opportunity to carry on our proud farming tradition. Wisconsin is America’s Dairyland, and I intend to keep it that way.”

“Tom recognizes that Wisconsin’s dairy community is a cornerstone of the state’s economy and has supported policies that strengthen family farms, dairy processors and rural communities,” said DBA board member and dairy farmer Amy Penterman. “As governor, we believe he will significantly influence the future of Wisconsin agriculture, helping to shape its development and continue advancing it.”

“Running a farm like Pagel’s Ponderosa means dealing with regulations, workforce shortages, transportation costs, and unpredictable weather — all at once. We don’t need to add unnecessary costs and barriers that could be driven by someone unfamiliar with Wisconsin dairy farms,” said Jamie Witcpalek of Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy. “We need a governor who actually understands what our day-to-day reality looks like.”

Tom Tiffany grew up on a dairy farm in western Wisconsin, and members of his family continue to farm today. In Congress, he supported the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, which was signed into law and allows schools to serve whole milk. As governor, Tiffany will continue standing up for Wisconsin farmers and strengthening America’s Dairyland. A few of his priorities include:

  • Protect Wisconsin Farmland from Foreign Adversaries: Tiffany will ban foreign adversaries, including Communist China, from purchasing Wisconsin farmland and residential property.
  • Truth in Labeling for Lab-Grown Meat: Tiffany supports requiring clear, accurate labeling of lab-grown or cultivated meat so consumers know exactly what they are buying and eating.
  • Help the Next Generation Farm: As governor, Tiffany will create a Young Farmers Program to help the next generation get started and stay in agriculture. He will improve access to farmland, help young producers afford essential equipment, and give beginning farmers the tools they need to build successful, financially sustainable operations.
  • Real Butter for Wisconsin Schools: Wisconsin is America’s Dairyland, and our schools should reflect that. Tiffany supports making real butter the standard while preserving reasonable exceptions for students, parents, and medical needs.
