Madison, WI — The international furniture giant La-Z-Boy, and the Federally-created nonprofit National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), are sponsoring “An Evening Around the World,” an event on August 27 to support WorldWise Microfinance and its programs of small loans to women entrepreneurs in the Global South.
“We’re grateful to have La-Z-Boy and NCHM Charities as allies in this work,” said WorldWise founder Tom Eggert, “because their involvement underscores our mission – improving lives, homes, and security for thousands of very poor families in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean.”
La-Z-Boy and NCHM Charities join Madison-based Cashew Commonwealth as organizational sponsors of the event. The August 27 benefit, on the rooftop of The Lyric in downtown Madison, will feature unique dishes prepared by the Madison Club’s executive chef Adam Streubing.
