GREEN BAY, Wis. August 20, 2026 — NeighborWorks Green Bay today announced a three-year, $150,000 grant commitment from Associated Bank to support affordable and sustainable housing, homeownership education, and workforce development across the Green Bay region. The grant provides $50,000 annually from 2026 through 2028 and reinforces a long-standing partnership focused on helping more families prepare for and achieve stable homeownership.
The commitment comes at a critical time for Green Bay, where a regional housing study conducted by the City of Green Bay confirmed a significant shortage of affordable housing across the market. NeighborWorks Green Bay is advancing solutions that respond directly to this need, including building new homes, expanding homebuyer education, and pioneering a community land trust model that helps keep homes affordable in perpetuity by limiting sale price appreciation.
For NeighborWorks Green Bay, partnerships with organizations like Associated Bank are essential to its mission of strengthening neighborhoods, expanding housing opportunities and equipping individuals and families with the tools they need for long-term financial stability. Because the support is flexible, NeighborWorks Green Bay can direct the funds where families need them most, from certified homebuyer education and financial capability programs to the development of new affordable homes.
“Green Bay’s housing shortage isn’t abstract to us — we see it in every family working toward a home of their own. By working collaboratively, we create a lasting impact on economic stability and homeownership access. The team at Associated Bank shows up for this work in ways that go well beyond a grant,” said Noel Halvorsen, President and CEO of NeighborWorks Green Bay.
“Our relationship with NeighborWorks Green Bay spans years, and it extends far beyond funding,” said Dennis DeLoye, Executive Vice president, Head of Community Markets and Northeast Wisconsin Regional President at Associated Bank. “NeighborWorks Green Bay understands this community’s housing needs, and this three-year commitment gives them the flexibility to meet those needs where they are greatest.”
The grant also reflects the value of cross-sector collaboration in addressing the region’s housing challenges. By working with financial institutions, local partners, public agencies and community stakeholders, NeighborWorks Green Bay is helping create pathways to homeownership while supporting stronger, more resilient neighborhoods throughout the region.
