OEM Fabricators: OEM Fabricators earns national recognition for employee health plan

WOODVILLE, Wis. — OEM Fabricators has been named a 2026 Rosie Award winner by Health Rosetta, earning national recognition for a health plan designed to improve care while controlling costs for Team Members and their families.

The Woodville-based manufacturer was among 88 organizations selected as 2026 Rosie Award winners. The awards were presented during RosettaFest 2026, a national gathering of employers, benefits professionals and healthcare leaders held July 29–31 in Nashville, Tennessee.

More than 2,000 health plans were evaluated for the 2026 awards. Of those, 182 advanced to the finalist stage before 88 were ultimately selected as Rosie Award winners.

The Rosie Awards recognize organizations that have demonstrated strong health-plan performance while improving value for employees and their families.

The recognition follows several years of work by OEM to rethink how healthcare is delivered and financed for its Team Members. Before changing its approach, the company had experienced double-digit cost increases under a traditional health insurance plan. OEM subsequently moved to a self-funded model, established access to near-site clinics and introduced a customized health plan supported by reference-based pricing.

Those changes have produced measurable benefits. OEM has reported average annual health-plan savings of approximately $945,000 and more than $1.3 million in savings from billed charges during the plan’s first year. Team Member deductibles were cut in half, and Team Members enrolled in single coverage pay $0 in premiums. The company has also gone more than a decade without increasing Team Member premiums.

Healthcare savings have allowed OEM to invest in other benefits as well, including increased reimbursements for steel-toed boots, safety glasses and other essential work gear.

OEM developed and manages its health plan in partnership with Alera Group benefits advisor Jillian Gorres, a Health Rosetta Advisor.

“It is a privilege to work alongside OEM Fabricators. Their commitment to transparency, member experience, and exceptional care has produced one of the strongest health plans in the country,” Gorres said. “We are proud to celebrate their leadership and the real impact they are creating for their employees and the community they serve.”

“For us it comes back to taking care of our people and making healthcare work better for them,” said Abby Klatt, director of human resources at OEM Fabricators. “Our goal is to provide better healthcare and meaningful savings without simply shifting more of the cost to our Team Members.”

OEM’s approach reflects a broader commitment to providing competitive, accessible benefits while managing the long-term cost of healthcare responsibly. Company leaders view those benefits as an important part of supporting the health and financial well-being of current Team Members while strengthening recruiting and retention in a competitive manufacturing labor market.

The Rosie Award recognizes both the performance of OEM’s health plan and the company’s long-term effort to find better ways to support its Team Members and their families.
