Riley Construction: Announces recipients of the 2026 Good Stand Project

KENOSHA, Wis. (June 22, 2026) — Riley Construction, a leading commercial construction management and general contracting firm in Wisconsin and Illinois, today announced the four recipients of its inaugural Good Stand Project, a community initiative designed to empower young entrepreneurs and inspire local giving across Southeast Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

The Good Stand Project provides custom-built lemonade stands to youth who have shown a desire to raise money for nonprofit organizations and causes that are meaningful to them. Riley Construction’s team of skilled trades professionals will deliver one stand in each of four markets: Greater Milwaukee, Madison, Kenosha/Racine, and Waukegan/Lake County. The company will also match funds raised by each recipient up to $2,500.

After an overwhelming response with over 200 total applications received and reviewing submissions from across the region, Riley Construction’s panel of judges selected four young people whose passion for helping others and commitment to making a difference stood out.

“The response to the Good Stand Project exceeded our expectations,” said Ben Kossow, CEO of Riley Construction. “Each of these recipients has a powerful personal connection to the cause they selected, and their stories remind us of the meaningful change that can come from our communities’ youngest members. We are honored to support their efforts and look forward to seeing the impact they make this summer and beyond.”

The 2026 Good Stand Project recipients and their selected non-profits are:

Greater Milwaukee (Greenfield): Abigail and Elizabeth Figueroa – Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Southeast Wisconsin

Abigail and Elizabeth Figueroa are raising money to support their brother, Dylan, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just 10 days old. Through their lemonade stand, the sisters hope to raise awareness and funds to help families affected by the disease while supporting ongoing efforts to improve the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis.

Madison (DeForest): Remy Freeman – American Family Children’s Hospital & Meriter Child Adolescent Psychiatry Behavioral Health Unit

Remy has faced an extraordinary life, battling autism, Tourette’s, ADHD, epilepsy, asthma, food allergies, airway disorders, and a rare genetic microdeletion. His journey has been filled with challenges beyond his control, yet his spirit remains unwavering. He plans to use funds raised through his lemonade stand to purchase art supplies and sensory materials for children receiving care in hospitals. During his own healing and recovery at UW Health American Family Children’s Hospital and Meriter’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Behavioral Health Unit, art and sensory activities brought comfort and joy. He hopes to provide the same experience to other children facing difficult circumstances.

Kenosha/Racine (Pleasant Prairie): Caden Graham – Sleep in Heavenly Peace

At just 5 years old, Caden Graham believes every child deserves a bed to sleep in. Caden selected Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization that builds and delivers beds to children in need throughout the Kenosha and Racine area. Through his lemonade stand, he hopes to help the organization provide more beds to local children and families.

Waukegan/Lake County (Wadsworth, IL): Ella Graupman – Family First Center of Lake County

Ella Graupman chose to support Family First Center of Lake County, an organization that helped her family through programs including Toys for Tots. Inspired by the support her family received, Ella wants to pay it forward by raising funds to help the organization continue serving families
throughout the community.

Throughout July and August, Riley Construction will deliver each custom lemonade stand, allowing recipients to begin fundraising for their selected causes. When dates are finalized, we will share information on where to find and support these recipients at The Good Stand Project.
