Wisconsin Foodie: Highlights the power of potatoes in cpcoming episode airing April 23

ANTIGO, Wis. – Wisconsin’s beloved agricultural staple takes center stage in an upcoming episode of Wisconsin Foodie, shining a spotlight on the people, places, and processes behind the state’s potato industry.

Premiering on April 23, the episode will be available to viewers at 6:30 p.m. CST onYouTube and will broadcast at 7:30 p.m. CST on PBS Wisconsin.

This special installment explores the rich story of Wisconsin potatoes through the lens of community, innovation, and tradition. Viewers will meet the Pavelski Family, whose deep-rooted farming legacy reflects generations of dedication to growing high-quality potatoes for chip processing in Wisconsin’s fertile soil.

The episode also features the Food and Farm Exploration Center (FFEC), an iconic facility in Plover that is the culmination of Dick Pavelski’s dream in educating the public about Wisconsin potatoes and connecting consumers with the origins of their food.

The FFEC features a plethora of interactive displays that tell the “field to fork” story while also celebrating the state’s agricultural heritage.

In addition, Wisconsin Foodie takes audiences into the kitchen with Chef Luke Zahm, where he’ll feature a delicious recipe using potato chips made from Wisconsin potatoes.
