New pre-opening season event features photos with the Easter Bunny plus meet some heritage breed animals
EAGLE, Wis. – Old World Wisconsin is hopping into spring with its first-ever “Bunny Breakfast,” a special one-day event on Sunday, Mar. 28. Held in the historic Clausing Barn, this pre-season event welcomes guests with a festive breakfast ahead of the living history attraction’s official opening in May as they celebrate their 50th birthday in 2026!
Guests will gather inside the Clausing Barn – a unique octagonal structure built in 1897 – for a delicious buffet featuring French toast, eggs, bacon, pastries, carrot cake and more. Kids, young and old, can have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny and meet Old World Wisconsin’s resident bunny, Sable, along with saying hello to some adorable sheep under the atrium of the soon to open Welcome Center.
Each guest will also receive a spring-themed cookie decorating kit to take home. The Easter Bunny photo opportunity is complimentary and sponsored by the Old World Wisconsin Foundation.
The cost of the brunch is $30 for adults and teens, $25 for seniors (65+), $20 for children 5-12 and $5 for children under five. Two seatings will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Special drinks, including Irish coffee, mimosas and others, are available for an additional charge. Advance registration required. All Wisconsin Historical Society members receive a 10 percent discount on brunch tickets. This is a special Clausing Barn event and Old World Wisconsin historic site will not be open.
