Brookfield, Wis. (February 9, 2026) — Community Smiles Dental (CSD) will host its annual “Laugh for a Smile” fundraising event on Thursday, April 9, from 5-9 pm at the Brookfield Conference Center, bringing together community members, supporters, and healthcare leaders for an evening of laughter in support of a powerful mission.
This year’s event promises big laughs for an even bigger cause. Entertainment will be provided by Derek Hughes, a nationally acclaimed magician and stand-up comedian known for his high-energy performances and appearances on America’s Got Talent. The evening will be emceed by Derek Mosley, a respected civic leader and former municipal court judge, who will add his signature voice and community leadership to the program.
“Laugh for a Smile” is CSD’s signature fundraising event, with all proceeds directly supporting the organization’s mission to deliver high-quality dental care to underserved children across Southeast Wisconsin. Funds raised help ensure children receive essential preventive and restorative dental services, removing barriers to care and setting them on a path toward lifelong health and confidence.
“This event truly turns laughter into lasting impact,” said Scott Marshall, CEO of Community Smiles Dental. “The generosity of our supporters at Laugh for a Smile allows us to reach thousands of children who otherwise might go without care.”
The evening will include a cocktail reception with small plates and hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, an awards presentation, a live auction and other opportunities to support CSD. The awards presentation portion of the event will celebrate the 2026 honorees with two special recognitions.
