Feb. 6, 2026 — DeWitt LLP announced today that five attorneys have joined its Minneapolis office, further strengthening the firm’s real estate and litigation capabilities in the region. David Sienko, Scott Lucas, Kevin Dunlevy, and Michael Kreun have joined the firm as partners, while Philip Buque has joined as an associate.
David L. Sienko represents landowners and businesses in eminent domain, real estate litigation, and complex civil disputes, with a focus on property valuation, utilities, agricultural operations, hydrology issues, and economic damages. His practice includes condemnation actions for commercial, industrial, and agricultural property owners, as well as general business litigation. Sienko brings a practical, results-oriented approach to resolving matters from administrative proceedings through trial. He earned his Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.
Scott Lucas focuses his practice on real estate law, handling both transactional matters and litigation involving property sales and leasing, eminent domain, Torrens proceedings, land use disputes, title litigation, and related contract matters. He regularly advises property owners, developers, and businesses on entity formation and governance and is known for his practical, solutions-oriented approach. Lucas also frequently speaks and writes on property law topics. He earned his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Wabash College.
Kevin Dunlevy focuses on real estate litigation, title insurance disputes, real estate transactions, and creditors’ remedies, representing lenders, title insurers, and businesses in complex mortgage- and property-related matters. Certified as a Real Property Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association, he is licensed in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin and has experience in trial and appellate litigation, regulatory matters, and expert witness work. Dunlevy is also a frequent author and speaker on real estate and mortgage law. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law.
Michael E. Kreun has more than 20 years of experience handling real estate litigation and complex commercial disputes for lenders, businesses, and property owners in state and federal courts. His practice includes title disputes, foreclosure and bankruptcy litigation, lien priority matters, and landlord-tenant issues. In addition to his legal practice, Kreun serves as a Minnesota State Senator representing District 32 and is the Assistant Minority Leader, serving on the Judiciary and Public Safety, Education Finance, and Capital Investment Committees. He earned his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of North Dakota School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Moorhead State University.
Philip Buque focuses his practice on real estate litigation and general civil litigation, representing clients in property-related disputes and complex civil matters. He brings experience from private practice and multiple judicial clerkships, providing a strong foundation in litigation strategy, courtroom procedure, and judicial decision-making. Buque is known for his disciplined, detail-oriented approach to legal analysis and case development. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law, his Master of Science in Media Management, summa cum laude, from Wagner College, and his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University.
