Milwaukee, WI, Feb 4, 2026 — The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee has expanded its programming to Waukesha County in 2026, bringing an exciting lineup of courses, special interest groups and cultural excursions to learners throughout the region. As OLLI continues to grow its community of curious, engaged adults, this expansion offers more opportunities than ever to learn, explore and connect close to home.
“OLLI has always been about building community through lifelong learning,” said Sarah Grammer, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute director. “We’re excited to partner with Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) to bring programming to their campus. This spring we have some exciting programing, including Mini-Symposium Fridays and special interest groups. We are looking forward to growing in the community and bringing even more enriching experiences and programming to Waukesha County in the years to come.”
Spring 2026 Programming at WCTC
Beginning this spring, OLLI will offer a series of Mini‑Symposium Fridays hosted at Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC), featuring local scholars and thought leaders across a diverse set of topics.
On Friday, February 20, the symposium focuses on conflicts and resolutions abroad.

Presented by Bert Kreitlow, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer Emeritus, UW‑Whitewater - 1–2:30 p.m. Women and Gender at U.S. World’s Fairs
Presented by Abigail Markwyn, Ph.D., Professor of History, Carroll University
Additional Waukesha‑area Special Interest Groups (SIGs) — including the Waukesha History SIG and Memoir Book Club SIG — meet regularly at WCTC for peer‑led discussion and exploration.
“We also offer a variety of popular Go Explore excursions, aka field trips, offering hands-on, immersive experiences throughout Waukesha County,” continued Grammer. “These include presentations at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center, local food experiences and more. Unfortunately, space is limited, and we filled up quickly for our spring excursions. We encourage you to become a member and watch our weekly enewsletter for pop up excursions as well as fun activities outside of Waukesha County.”
