The Alliance: Jeremy Ott joins The Alliance as VP of Finance and Operations, Doug Benzine retiring

MADISON, WI—Jeremy Ott is joining The Alliance as Vice President of Finance and Operations.

Ott will help guide the not-for-profit cooperative’s continued growth, taking over for retiring Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations Doug Benzine.

Ott joins The Alliance from WPS, where he spent the past 23 years, including the last 12 in senior leadership roles spanning actuarial services, sales, provider relations and product innovation.

“Jeremy brings a deep understanding of our industry and a passion for using financial insights to drive meaningful results and organizational growth—qualities that align closely with our mission and values,” said Curt Kubiak, president and CEO of The Alliance.

Ott will have a significant working overlap with Benzine, giving him the opportunity to seamlessly manage the transition. Benzine plans to stay with The Alliance until the end of May.

Benzine joined The Alliance in June 2022 after more than 30 years in business finance and organizational operations.

“Doug’s leadership has helped guide our organization through meaningful growth and change. He has strengthened our financial foundation, advanced our data and analytics capabilities, and supported the evolution of our operations and IT functions. His impact on our organization and culture will be felt well into the future,” Kubiak said.
