Ben Davis joins Acuity as Director – Staff Loss Control. With more than 23 years of experience in insurance risk management, Ben has worked for organizations such as the Insurance Services Office (ISO) and Nationwide. The last 15 years of his career have been spent leading field teams to achieve long-term customer retention and support multi-million-dollar premium growth across different industries. He has led the implementation of lean practices to enhance processes between loss control and underwriting, leveraged AI for data analysis, and developed customer resources.
Ben’s career is complemented by a bachelor’s degree in social science and psychology. He has achieved numerous designations and certifications, including an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Certified Continuity Manager (CCM), as well as ISO 31000 Certification and fire science training. Ben is actively working toward earning the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Additionally, he served on the board of directors for the Iowa Occupational Safety & Health Advisory Council and was the 2025 sponsor committee chair for the Iowa Governor’s Safety & Health Conference. He is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Ben currently resides in West Des Moines, Iowa.
