MILWAUKEE – On Giving Tuesday, Herb Kohl Philanthropies has selected 20 local nonprofits to receive over $170,000 in awards.
Throughout his career, Herb Kohl advocated for the health and well-being of children, families, and individuals, and was committed to combating hunger locally. He recognized the importance of nutritional support in our communities, and ardently supported the expansion of WIC, as well as after-school and summer food services programs for youth. Therefore, on Giving Tuesday 2025, Herb Kohl Philanthropies is giving grants to nonprofits across the Milwaukee area that provide food and/or meals to those facing food insecurity. These organizations do invaluable work, day in and day out, supporting the most vulnerable and providing welcoming spaces to receive sustenance and commune.
