New location opens Nov. 19 and will replace existing branch on Division Street
MADISON, Wis. (Nov. 6, 2025) — Beginning Nov. 19, UW Credit Union will serve the Stevens Point community from its new retail branch located at 5605 Highway 10 East. The 4,500-square-foot building will replace the current branch on Division Street, which will cease operation on Nov. 14. All staff will be transferred to the new location.
The spacious, state-of-the-art facility accommodates growing foot traffic, including in-person meetings with staff. It also features two drive-up interactive teller machines for convenient 24/7 financial access. The popular retail location is just a few miles down the road from the current branch, offering improved access for members living outside of Stevens Point and those commuting through the corridor.
“We are thrilled to offer Stevens Point members greater efficiency and value through the larger space, with the same local team and personalized service they’re used to,” said Stevens Point Branch Manager, Matthew Kovalaske. “Sustainability is important to this community, and the new footprint addresses that. A variety of energy conserving features, including both natural and LED lighting, HVAC efficiency and many LEED-Silver standard inclusions, will help us serve members long into the future.”
Kovalaske has been the branch manager in Stevens Point since 2006.
The Stevens Point branch team will host a “Welcome Week” December 1-6 at the new branch. During that time, all are invited to stop in for daily treats and prizes. A rewards tree will include more than 300 mystery gift cards to “Gold Star” Portage County businesses.[1] Gift card values range from $5 to $25.
