Green Bay, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Theatre & Dance program has announced its 2025–26 season, featuring a diverse array of productions that range from established works to new, creative projects. The season will highlight the talents of UW-Green Bay students, faculty and collaborators while offering audiences opportunities to experience theatre in multiple forms and genres.
Fall Reader’s Theatre Series
October 3, October 30, and December 4 at 7:30 p.m. | Jean Weidner Theatre
Curated and directed by Dr. Rebecca Stone-Thornberry, the Reader’s Theatre Series will present staged readings of diverse works, providing audiences with an intimate exploration of text and performance.
Big Fish
November 13–14 at 7 p.m. | November 15 at 2 p.m. | University Theatre
Music and Lyrics by Andrew Lippa | Book by John August
Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the film directed by Tim Burton
The season’s fall musical, ‘Big Fish,’ follows Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman known for his extraordinary stories and his son Will, who seeks to separate truth from legend. With music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and a book by John August, ‘Big Fish’ is a work that examines family, storytelling and legacy.
Dr. Bellboy (New Musical Workshop)
February 20–21 at 7:30 p.m. | University Theatre

‘Dr. Bellboy’ will be presented in a workshop format, offering audiences an early look at a new musical by Dr. Thomas Campbell and Ben Olejniczak. This presentation reflects UW-Green Bay Theatre & Dance’s commitment to supporting the development of original works.
Constellation

Nick Payne’s ‘Constellation’ explores the concepts of choice and destiny through the relationship of two characters whose lives unfold across multiple realities. This contemporary work blends romance and philosophy in an innovative theatrical form.
One Act Festival

Concluding the season, UW-Green Bay students will present an evening of original one-act plays. Written and directed entirely by students, the festival showcases a wide spectrum of themes and perspectives. Please note: Some adult content; suggested for mature audiences.
