WHAT: The City of Kenosha recently entered into a multi-partied agreement that will direct the future of the former Chrysler Engine Plant Site.The agreement brought together the current Liquidation Trust owners, Bank Secured Lien holders, Federal EPA, Justice and Treasury departments, State of Wisconsin DNR and Justice departments and the City of Kenosha.Through this agreement, all parties will be able to achieve specific goals, which will eventually lead to the demolition and environmental clean-up that will allow for the future urban redevelopment of this 100+ acre brownfield.
Wisconsin State Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, Wisconsin DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp, Kenosha Mayor Keith Bosman and EPA Director of Region 5 RCRA Program Margaret Guerrierro will join local, state and national officials, employees and business guests to talk about the significance of this achievement at a city, state and national level for the continued redevelopment of the City of Kenosha and the surrounding community.
