Wisconsin Bankers Association: Mazomanie banker celebrated for 50 years of service

MAZOMANIE, Wis. – MaryAnn Ewing from The Peoples Community Bank has been honored with a 50-Year Club Award by the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA). This award recognizes exceptional dedication to Wisconsin’s banking industry.

“Few achievements speak more powerfully than a career defined by five decades of service,” said Rose Oswald Poels, WBA president and CEO. “We are honored to celebrate MaryAnn whose enduring commitment has left an indelible mark on Wisconsin’s banking industry.”

Ewing’s first day of work was January 27, 1976. She began as a teller with Richland Center Federal Savings and Loan Association. They were a fairly small Association with five branches, with Richland Center being the main branch. In 1988, they merged with the second largest financial in the state, Anchor Savings and Loan, later changing their charter to a more favorable title amid some changes in the industry with Savings and Loans, becoming known as AnchorBank. She continued as a teller, then took promotions as New Accounts Counselor, senior New Accounts Counselor, and later Branch Supervisor. She also obtained her State of WI Life Insurance License in the sale of annuities for the bank. In 2015, the branch was sold to The Peoples Community Bank, her current bank family. Ewing is retiring in the summer of 2026.

Ewing was recognized during a bank event on January 31.
