Two local organizations have collaborated to welcome you to the Kosinski Wisconsin home for an
evening of family, football, and fun! Kewaskum Area Arts Council Gateway Theatre Co. (KAAC – Gateway) and Washington County Theatre Works (WCTW) are pleased to present the joint fun-filled production that celebrates one family tale as three sisters strategize in typical football playbook style, all-field tactics to ‘win’ the rights to the family treasure – ‘Dad’s Season Tickets’.
Matt Zembrowski’s musical comedy is based on the theme that “all is fair in love and war”, especially when it involves football season tickets. But you don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy this hilarious
portrayal of the age-old fight over the family ‘heirloom’. Join sisters’ Gabby, Rhonda, and Cordy (played by Red Hackerott, Anne Benzing, and Jessica Pawlak) as they battle it out ‘family-style’ to win over the affection of their father, Frank (played by Gary Talsky). Supported husbands, and more importantly devoted-sports fans, Ralph and Edgar (played by Dan Koeppen and Issac Schultz), add their own technique to the game. From kick-off to the Hail Mary, every score, block, tackle, and fumble will welcome you into the family fun.
The two organizations are thrilled to be collaborating for the first time. Leona Knobloch, Board Member of both organizations and former Executive Director at The Bend Theater, states: “The production provides the perfect opportunity for the two organizations to come together to share their passion of theater with the greater community.” “The partnership between KAAC/Gateway and WCTW provides a fantastic opportunity for our two separate teams to joined for a shared mission-focused purpose,” shares Sammy Amend, KAAC President. And Carrie Obst, WCTW President and show Producer, remarks that she is “excited to collaborate with Gateway Theatre Company/KAAC on this milestone project and am thrilled to help lead the effort to bring this show to life. The shared passion among both groups is inspiring and will be evident with each performance.”
The partnership production is sure to be an exciting success, in that “the leads, cast, and crew are excited about the opportunity this collaboration has presented and can’t wait to have you join them for fun evenings full of smiles and laughter.” – Bruce Towell, KAAC Gateway Lead and Director.
The organizations invite you to join them prior to the showing for a traditional tailgate party. Matt
Zembrowski’s ‘Dad’s Season Tickets’ will be performed at Kewaskum Theatre, Kewaskum High School,
7pm on July 31st, August 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th and 2pm on August 2nd. General admissions tickets available at https://www.washcotheatreworks.org/ or at the door.
