Van Horn Honda of Glendale: Opens new state-of-the-art facility

New dealership building now open; full lot completion expected this summer

Glendale, Wisconsin – [Insert Release Date] – Van Horn Automotive Group has opened the doors to its newly constructed Honda dealership building at 6100 N. Green Bay Avenue in Glendale, marking a major milestone in the company’s continued growth in the Milwaukee metro area. Final exterior lot construction is scheduled to be completed later this summer, with a formal Grand Opening celebration planned once the project is fully finished.

The new facility replaces the previous David Hobbs Honda building, which served the Glendale community for nearly four decades. Van Horn Automotive Group acquired the dealership in March 2023, marking its first Honda franchise and its first new-car dealership in the Milwaukee market.

Originally planned in 2019, the new building project was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

With construction now complete, the new facility represents a modern reintroduction of Van Horn Honda of Glendale to the North Shore and surrounding metro communities. Designed around Honda’s updated image program, the new dealership delivers a significantly larger, more efficient environment for customers and employees. The building features 45,200 square feet on the main level and an additional 8,000-square-foot second floor.

One of the most significant upgrades is the expanded service department. The new facility includes 31 service bays, more than doubling the capacity of the former 13-bay location. Three indoor service reception lanes provide a convenient, weather-protected check-in experience.

Additional features of the new dealership include:

●      A redesigned customer lounge with multiple seating and hospitality options

●      Three quick-check alignment stations

The Redmond Company, a Wisconsin-based design-build firm specializing in automotive facilities, led construction of the new dealership.

Final site improvements are underway across the 7.09-acre property, including the expanded parking lot, which will ultimately provide more than 450 parking spaces. A formal Grand Opening event, along with additional media and community activities, will be announced later this summer following completion of the exterior lot.
