MADISON, WI—The Alliance, a not-for-profit cooperative that helps employers save on healthcare, has promoted Ryan Peterson to vice president of information technology, analytics and development.
Peterson oversees the teams responsible for developing and maintaining The Alliance’s operational software, dashboards, automation and analytic packages—technology that helps employer-members shape benefit strategies and identify savings opportunities.
The promotion reflects The Alliance’s continued investment in advanced healthcare analytics as a driver of value for employers navigating rising costs.
“I am excited to lead a growing team of awesome developers and analysts to help use data to guide smart designs to curb growing health care costs,” Peterson said.
As healthcare costs continue to rise, employers are seeking clearer insight into where their dollars go and how care is delivered. In recent years, The Alliance has expanded its analytics capabilities to provide transparency into pricing, quality and utilization, helping employers make informed benefit decisions.
“Part of the value proposition for working with The Alliance is our ability to find savings where others are unwilling or unable to deliver” said Curt Kubiak, president and CEO of The Alliance. “Ryan and his team have been central to that work, building the tools and insights that allow employers to use their data strategically, not just reactively, to lower costs and strengthen benefits.”
Peterson joined The Alliance in 2013 as senior analyst/programmer of value measurement transformation and was promoted to director of analytics in 2022.
Before joining The Alliance, Peterson led technical services at Epic in Madison, Wis., and served as a senior staff engineer at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
