MADISON, Wis. — Assembly Democratic Leader Greta Neubauer (D-Racine) released the following statement in response to Legislative Republicans’ announcement that they will bring postpartum Medicaid expansion and Gail’s Law up for a vote in tomorrow’s floor session:
“Finally.
“The people of Wisconsin have been asking Legislative Republicans to pass postpartum medicaid expansion for years and years and years.
“Today, after Democrats effectively halted business in the state legislature to force a vote on this bill and Gail’s Law, which would expand access to breast cancer screenings, Assembly Republicans have announced that they will bring these bills to the floor tomorrow.
“We need to see these clean bills on the floor of the Assembly tomorrow. If postpartum medicaid expansion and Gail’s Law are passed, it will be an incredible win for women and the people of Wisconsin.”
