Madison – Today, Representative Jill Billings voted to finally pass the postpartum Medicaid expansion into state law. Rep. Billings released the following statement:
“I am thrilled that after many years of work to move this legislation forward, I had the opportunity to vote in favor of expanding postpartum Medicaid coverage for Wisconsin moms. I have cosponsored this legislation for years and as we finally get this bill across the finish line, I am thinking of all of the women who will now have access to life-saving health care because of this legislation. This is a great day for our state and after the Governor signs this into law, Wisconsin will be a better place for mothers and babies.”
