Renegade Parts Washers: Wisconsin Manufacturer Renegade Parts Washers marks 30 years in business

REEDSBURG, Wis. — July 14, 2026 — Renegade Parts Washers, a family-run manufacturer based in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, is celebrating 30 years in business in 2026.

Founded by David Barney in 1996, the company began in a family garage and has grown into a nearly 40-person operation that designs and builds industrial parts washing equipment for shops, manufacturers, fleet maintenance teams, rebuilders, transit systems, rail operations, and repair facilities.

Today, Renegade Parts Washers, a division of Service Line, Inc., operates from a nearly 25,000-square-foot facility in Reedsburg and continues to grow its manufacturing, engineering, sales, service, and production teams.

“We’ve slowly and quietly grown into this community and found our place,” said David Barney, Founder and President of Renegade Parts Washers. “We’re proud to be a Reedsburg manufacturer, and we continue to look for skilled people who want to build equipment that matters to real working shops.”

Renegade builds manual parts washers, automatic top-load and front-load parts washers, and custom I-Series washing systems. The machines are used to remove grease, oil, dirt, coolant, metal chips, and other debris from parts before inspection, repair, rebuilding, assembly, or reuse.

The company serves a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, machining, automotive, transportation, fleet maintenance, transit, railroad maintenance, hydraulic repair, marine repair, remanufacturing, and industrial service operations.

Renegade’s customer base includes Fortune 500 companies and Tier 1 suppliers in the transportation and manufacturing sectors, along with customers in contract machining, engine building, fabrication, metal casting, mining, precision manufacturing, tool and die work, and repair operations.

Barney said the company’s 30-year story is built around a simple idea: build equipment that does its job without becoming another problem for the customer.

“If a customer has to think about the washer every day, we didn’t do our job,” Barney said. “Our goal is to build machines that fit the work, hold up in the shop or production environment, and let customers stay focused on their own work.”

The company is proudly family-run, with a dedicated team of nearly 40 employees and multiple members of the Barney family actively involved in the business.

Long-term employees are also part of Renegade’s story, including several team members with more than 15 years of service and one employee who has been with the company for 27 years.

Over the years, Renegade has brought more production work in-house and invested in manufacturing capabilities such as laser cutting, brake press equipment, powder coating, welding, electrical controls engineering, and CAD design. The company also continues to make product updates aimed at improving durability, reliability, and serviceability.

That steady growth has helped Renegade serve customers far beyond Sauk County while keeping its roots in Reedsburg.

For local job seekers, the company offers roles across several parts of the business, including sales, engineering, marketing, metal cutting, bending, welding, paint, assembly, electrical, shipping, administration, service, and production support.

“As we look ahead, we want to keep building on the same foundation that got us here,” Barney said. “Listen to the customer, understand the work, build the right machine, and support it after the sale.”
