Oshkosh Chamber: Oshkosh Chamber Director of Leadership Oshkosh receives OASD Friend of Education Award

OSHKOSH (6/10/26) — The Oshkosh Chamber is proud to announce that Director of Leadership Oshkosh, Trina Woldt, has been selected as the recipient of the Oshkosh Area School District’s 2025-2026 Individual Friend of Education Award.

Presented annually since 1992, the Friend of Education Award recognizes individuals and organizations for their support of public schools not only financially, but for their personal involvement as well.

Woldt was recognized for her longstanding dedication to strengthening connections between education, business, and the broader community. Through initiatives such as Leadership Oshkosh and Youth Leadership Oshkosh, she has helped cultivate informed, engaged community leaders while creating opportunities for students to better understand their role in shaping Oshkosh’s future.

The Oshkosh Area School District also cited Woldt’s leadership in the development of the Read More Oshkosh campaign, a community-wide literacy initiative designed to encourage reading and lifelong learning. In addition, the district recognized her ongoing support of school administrators and educators, as well as her active involvement in community engagement efforts surrounding the April 2025 facilities referendum.

Woldt also served on the Oshkosh Schools Summit Design Committee, where her insights helped shape discussions and strategic planning efforts focused on the future of education in Oshkosh.

“I am truly humbled and honored to receive this recognition. As a proud graduate of the Oshkosh Area School District, this award is especially meaningful because I know firsthand the impact that caring educators, strong schools, and a supportive community can have on a young person’s life. I believe every child has unique gifts and unlimited potential, and our schools play a vital role in helping students discover what is possible. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside educators, businesses, and community partners who are committed to helping every student succeed. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of so many people who believe that when we invest in our children, we invest in the future of our entire community,” said Woldt.

The award was presented during the Oshkosh Area School District’s Retirement and Recognition Dinner and Ceremony held on June 1, 2026, at the Oshkosh Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

The Oshkosh Chamber remains committed to supporting educational initiatives that strengthen the local workforce pipeline, connect students with career opportunities, and contribute to a thriving community for generations to come.
