Wisconsin molder secures global supply chain by reshoring critical tooling from China to mitigate 2025 tariff impacts.
WEST BEND, Wis. — February 4, 2026 — Moraine Plastics, a precision injection molding and tooling partner, has received the Supplier Excellence Award for Best New Product Development (NPD) Support from Marmon Foodservice Technologies. The recognition highlights Moraine’s consistent support across multiple initiatives, most notably the Saber King slicer and ACSD projects. The Saber King is an all-in-one manual food prep system used in major commercial kitchens and restaurants globally; Moraine’s technical support ensured the high-volume production of its critical safety and slicing components.
Throughout the development phase, Moraine’s engineering team provided design-for-manufacturability (DFM) recommendations and rapid beta testing. By utilizing in-house tooling diagnostics to bypass traditional third-party delays, Moraine reduced lead times and lowered the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). This technical intervention stabilized programs that had previously faced production interruptions, ensuring a successful launch.
