Golden Made Events: Sweet miles await at the Maple Syrup 5K & Mini Maple Fun Run

Green Bay, WI — Tuesday, February 10, 2026 —  Lace up your running shoes and get ready to earn your syrup! The Maple Syrup 5K & Mini Maple Fun Run is coming to the Brown County Reforestation Camp on Saturday, March 28th offering runners, walkers, and families a sweet way to celebrate one of the Midwest’s natural treats — maple syrup.

“Maple syrup is the perfect symbol of this event — it’s local, it’s fun, and it’s something you truly earn,” says Allie Thut-Connelly, Owner of Golden Made Events. “This event is about getting outside, moving together, and enjoying a sweet community tradition.”

The Maple Syrup 5K and Mini Maple Fun Run will take place on the well maintained wide track trails at the Brown County Reforestation.  The perfect place for road or trail runners, walkers or hikers to enjoy a scenic course through the camp.  Participants in the 5K and Fun Run will receive a commemorative beanie.  Finishers of the 5K will receive a vial of maple syrup from Anderson’s Maple Syrup and finishers of the Fun Run a maple chocolate chip cookie from Maple Buzz.  A pancake breakfast presented by Anderson’s Maple Syrup will be prepared by Freedom Foods and is included with registration.

“As a local maple syrup producer, we’re proud to support an event that highlights outdoor recreation and community connection,” said Steven Anderson of Anderson’s Maple Syrup. “The Maple Syrup 5K blends healthy activity with a Wisconsin tradition we’re passionate about.”

More than just a run, the event promotes outdoor recreation, education, and fitness. The event proudly benefits Brown County Parks and Bay Nordic Ski Club, tying together the clubs commitment to youth sports and the parks year round maintenance of high quality trail systems.  BayCare Orthopedics is the official orthopedic and sports medicine provider of the event and supporter of our community.

“BayCare Orthopedics is proud to partner with Golden Made Events to support the growing running community throughout NEWI. Together, we’re committed to helping local athletes stay healthy, active, and confident as they pursue their goals. This partnership reflects our shared belief that strong communities are built through movement, connection, and wellness,” said Kati Coleman, BayCare Clinic Business Development Manager.
