Envision Greater Green Bay: To host fifth annual World Futures Day

Green Bay, Wis. – Envision Greater Green Bay will host its fifth annual local World Futures Day on Feb. 27, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Oneida Hotel and Casino. World Futures Day is a global initiative designed to facilitate thought and discussion on the future’s challenges, opportunities and responsibilities. The local World Futures Day event is aimed at helping the greater Green Bay community shape a preferred future for our region based on proven foresight strategies.

Garry Golden will headline this year’s event. Golden is an expert on how social change and technology disruptions shape organizational transitions. His foresight has informed organizations like Accenture Operations, Boston Scientific, and Microsoft.  He is a professionally trained futurist who writes, speaks, and consults about the driving forces that will shape society and organizations in the 21st century. His uncanny sense of what will hit–and what won’t–can be seen in futurethink’s research and heard in his international keynotes and organizational change leadership seminars.

In addition to Golden’s inspiring two-part presentation, he will facilitate an engaging dynamic that will highlight the work of five Envision Greater Green Bay Signal Teams over the year. The Signal Teams are responsible for scanning for signals of change in trends, events and choices likely to impact the future of Greater Green Bay. Each team has a unique focus, including Livable Neighborhoods; Upward Mobility; Health and Well-Being; Leading Edge Economy; and Arts, Culture and Entertainment. The goal of the activity is to learn how to work together to shape a community of choice.

The event is open to the public and costs $85 per person or $750 for a table of 10. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served from 7:00 to 8 a.m. Registration is open now at https://envisionggb.org/events

Local businesses and philanthropic organizations are invited to sponsor the event by contacting Jenny Zimmerman at 920-621-5782.
