Today is the sixteenth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, and hardworking Wisconsin families are paying for Derrick Van Orden and Bryan Steil’s failure to extend ACA tax credits.
Premiums are higher and affordable options are shrinking, leaving many families in Wisconsin paying more each month or forgoing coverage entirely.
A majority of Americans blame Republicans for rising health care costs, and many families are already feeling the impact in their day to day lives.
According to recent reporting, ACA enrollees are cutting back on basics like food and utilities just to keep up with their monthly health care costs.

“Derrick Van Orden and Bryan Steil hiked health care costs for hardworking families across Wisconsin to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. By failing to extend the ACA tax credits, Van Orden and Steil effectively forced people to choose between paying for basic needs like rent or groceries or going to see a doctor – voters will hold them accountable this November.”
