MADISON, Wis. (February 25, 2026) – Alliant Energy and its charitable foundation, along with the company’s employees and retirees, collectively contributed nearly $6.6 million and over 66,000 volunteer hours to various causes and nonprofits in 2025.
“We’re proud of the difference we’re making, supporting more than 1,280 organizations and distributing over 700 grants in 2025 alone,” said Aimee Davis, Alliant Energy Foundation board chair. “We helped provide fresh dairy products to rural food pantries, which are often difficult for them to source and advanced our goal of planting 1 million trees by 2030, this work reflects our purpose of serving customers and building stronger communities.”
The Alliant Energy Foundation’s giving and volunteer efforts focused on four areas: Community safety and engagement, environmental stewardship, workforce readiness, and hunger and housing.
Community safety and engagement: Improvements for emergency services and over $35,000 in safety grants supported 31 communities for many first response organizations including police and fire/EMS departments as they received vital new or upgraded equipment. Support also went to initiatives that bring communities together, such as building playgrounds and special events like fairs.
Environmental stewardship: Alliant Energy advanced its goal to plant a million trees by the end of 2030. Since July 2021, the company has helped plant over 627,000 trees in Iowa and Wisconsin.
Workforce readiness: To aid in the development of a solid workforce and attract future employees, the company worked to create accessible paths for students through a variety of scholarship opportunities. Over 100 students received scholarships with contributions totaling more than $114,000 to offset tuition costs and student loans.
Hunger and housing: In partnership with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, the Alliant Energy Foundation launched Dairyland Delivery, a program designed to get fresh, locally produced dairy into the hands of families who need it most. Alliant Energy’s support allowed Dairyland Delivery to expand into several rural counties in Eastern Wisconsin including Fond du Lac, Sheboygan and Wood.
“Every day, we support the programs and partners that strengthen communities we serve across Iowa and Wisconsin,” said Andy Kitslaar, executive director of the Alliant Energy Foundation. “Through both critical grants and hands-on employee volunteerism, we’re proud to make a meaningful difference for our neighbors.”
