WHITEWATER, Wis. – Hear from three innovators who have successfully adopted intrapreneurship in their organizations Thursday, June 12 at a Tech Council Innovation Network luncheon at the Whitewater University Innovation Center.
Intrapreneurship is the practice of encouraging employees within an organization to act like entrepreneurs – taking initiative, developing new ideas and driving innovation from within the company. Unlike entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs use the company’s existing resources, support and infrastructure to experiment and build.
Panelists include Dustin Herte, founder and president of Blue Line Battery; Peter Layton, founding partner of Blackthorne Capital Management; and Fred Varin, president of TopLine Results Corp. The program will also include roundtable discussions with all attendees.
The luncheon will be held at 1221 Innovation Drive in Whitewater, which is northeast of the Highway 59 and 12 intersections. Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon and the presentation at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for students and returning veterans, $25 for individual members, $40 for non-members and included for Tech Council corporate members.
